Clallam County Sheriff's Office has activated a new public safety alert system for real-time emergency notifications. The system replaces the previous notification method and allows for faster, more targeted communication during emergencies.
Residents will receive alerts via text, email, and phone calls for incidents such as wildfires, floods, and active threats. The Sheriff's Office states the system is now fully operational and encourages all residents to update their contact information on the county website.
