Ediz Hook Beach Nourishment Begins July 16

πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

The Army Corps of Engineers will begin a beach nourishment project on the seaward side of Ediz Hook as early as July 16, according to a City of Port Angeles alert.

Drivers should slow down, pay attention to traffic control personnel, and maintain a safe distance from construction equipment, the alert states.

Utility rate adjustments will take effect in 2026: Medic 1 and Solid Waste Collection on January 1, Transfer Station on February 1, and Electric on June 1.

A sidewalk gap project along Marine Drive's 300 block has been submitted for a Shoreline Substantial Development Permit, and the Medic One Foundation is offering grants for public AEDs to eligible 501(c)3 organizations or government entities.
