WSDOT announced extended closures for I-405, I-90, and SR 20 starting Sept. 2, 2026. The I-405 southbound lane closures between SR 522 and SR 203 will run nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday, Sept. 4. Northbound I-405 will see lane closures from milepost 11.5 to 13.7 nightly until Sept. 4 at 4:30 a.m. I-90's eastbound Factoria Boulevard off-ramp will close nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday.
SR 20 will alternate traffic with flaggers daily from Swin Slough Bridge to Laconner Whitney Road for Anacortes utility work, beginning Aug. 21. I-5 southbound will have nightly closures from Lacamas Creek to Exit 57 for guardrail repairs until Sept. 4 at 9:30 a.m. SR 9 and SR 547 near George Road will see alternating traffic on Sept. 1 for paving work, weather permitting.
Travelers should expect delays through the work zones. WSDOT advises slowing down and allowing extra time for commutes. The closures are part of routine maintenance and utility projects.
