For Immediate Release Contact: Mackenzie MarmolCommunity Health [email protected] COUNTY, WA – Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) is accepting applications for $30,000 in mini grants to support local organizations and programs that serve youth and young adults in Jefferson County.The funding is offered as part of the Olympic Region’s Youth Cannabis & Commercial Tobacco Prevention Program (YCCTPP) and will support projects and ongoing activities that help build protective factors for youth and prevent or reduce substance use.Organizations throughout Jefferson County are already doing important work to create positive opportunities and supportive environments for young people. These mini grants are an opportunity to strengthen that work and support activities that help youth build connections, skills and other protective factors that can reduce the likelihood of substance use.$30,000 Available for Local OrganizationsJCPH will award a total of 10 mini grants:Two grants of up to $5,000Four grants of up to $3,000Four grants of up to $2,000Each applicant may receive one award. Organizations may apply for funding up to the maximum amount of the grant level for which they apply.Eligible applicants include Jefferson County organizations that serve youth and young adults ages 12–20 or have youth-serving components.
