The closures include the US 101 between mileposts 1. 0 and 2. 5 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Aug. 5, and SR 161 will close all lanes from 10 p.m. Aug. 7 to 5 a.m. Aug. 17 for culvert installation. WSDOT advises travelers to expect delays and plan ahead. The agency states these closures are for maintenance, paving, and infrastructure work to improve road conditions.
WSDOT's updates are effective through August 17, with most closures ending by Aug. 7. Travelers should check WSDOT's website for real-time updates. The agency emphasizes that these work projects are necessary for maintaining safe and efficient highway travel.
