πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

WSDOT announced several road closures affecting Olympic Peninsula highways starting August 30. Northbound I-405 will close from 11 p.m. Friday, August 28, to 5 a.m. Monday, August 31, between Northeast 85th Street and Northeast 100th Street. Southbound I-405 will close overnight on September 3-4 between mileposts 12 and 10. I-5 will see single-lane reductions nightly from August 31 through September 4 near Alger/Lake Samish Road and north of North Lake Samish. SR 20 will alternate traffic with flaggers daily (except weekends) from Swin Slough Bridge to Laconner Whitney Road. SR 4 will close one lane daily between 50th and 42nd Avenues from August 17 through September 11. SR 99 will close a right lane from August 31 to September 1. SR 730 will have alternating traffic Mondays through Fridays until September 18.

Residents should plan for delays during peak travel times. WSDOT recommends checking the project webpage for updates on I-5 fish passage construction. The agency states that signed detours will be in place for the I-405 closure. Work zones will have flaggers directing traffic. The closures will impact commuters, emergency services, and commercial vehicles traveling through the region.
