πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

Clallam County will host a Project SAFER event at the Clallam County Fairgrounds on August 20, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will provide free fair entrance tickets to attendees who register in advance. Fair entrance passes will be available at the yellow ticket booth gate upon arrival, where Project SAFER volunteers will direct attendees to the event location.

Project SAFER aims to improve emergency response interactions between first responders and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The initiative includes a Response Form that families can complete to provide first responders with communication preferences and strategies for interacting with individuals with I/DD.

The event will feature collaboration between community members, families, care providers, and emergency personnel. Clallam County Health & Human Services is hosting the event and will store completed forms in a HIPAA-compliant database accessible to first responders.
