Schools Issue Homecoming Sportsmanship Reminder“A Message Before Homecoming High school athletics bring out passion, pride, and emotion, and that is part of what makes them such a meaningful experience for our students and community. As we celebrate Homecoming tonight and cheer on our student-athletes, we are reminded of the important role we all play in fostering a positive and respectful environment. Our coaches and officials are valued members of our communities who dedicate their time and expertise to supporting student athletics. Competition can be intense, and disagreements may arise, but everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. Above all, our students are watching and learning from the example we set. We encourage our entire community - coaches, officials, athletes, families, and fans - to model sportsmanship, keep students at the center of our actions, and help make high school athletics a positive experience for everyone. Have fun tonight, and Go Roughriders!”
