WSDOT has implemented a temporary 40 mph speed limit on eastbound and westbound SR 20 near Campbell Lake Road (mileposts 45.48 to 46.62) starting Sept. 4, 2026. An advisory 30 mph speed is posted through a curve where banking was removed.

SR 20 will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 15, 2026, between the Swinomish Channel bridges and SR 536/Memorial Highway (mileposts 51-55) for pavement sampling. Construction of a new roundabout at the Campbell Lake Road intersection will resume in spring 2027.
