πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

WSDOT has announced multiple highway closures across the Olympic Peninsula effective this week. US 97 between Wapato and Union Gap will have a continuous single-lane closure with a 10-ft width restriction starting March 26, 2026. I-405 will close two northbound lanes nightly from August 5 to 7 between North 30th Street and Lake Washington Boulevard. State Route 169 will close both directions from August 17 to September 21 for fish barrier removal near Jones Lake, with local access maintained.

The closures impact daily commutes and travel routes. WSDOT states signed detours will guide drivers around affected areas. SR 169's closure will last 35 days, and other temporary closures on SR 522, SR 203, and SR 526 are scheduled through August 7. All closures are scheduled for specific dates and times with expected end dates provided.
